It’s been a hard few weeks but the running has helped a lot! I have managed a few runs around the 1 hour mark 6 miles with a few hills thrown in. It’s such a great feeling to be able to switch off, run and listen to my breathing, try new routes and guess where the mile markers will be. Sometimes I run by myself other times I love company! It gives me a great buzz to be able to push myself just a little bit more each time I run. Next week I run my first 10k race in about 17 years and in September I will be running in the Great North Run ….my first ever half marathon! I’m hoping that there will be more races but think I need to run these two first! I’m running for charity – Kidney Research UK in memory of my late husband to celebrate his love of life and sport.
